You deserve to eat no matter what size or shape you are.
If I am in a larger body, do I deserve to eat? We hear this a lot from clients.
They have convinced themselves that due to their weight that they should be dieting and eating less than their body requires. It makes me sad that diet culture has convinced us that only a person in a smaller body deserves to eat.
An important step in Intuitive Eating is to give yourself full and unconditional permission to eat. Yes, you definitely deserve to eat, but more than that you need to eat no matter what size or shape you are.
So ask yourself this, what do I really feel like eating that is going to be satisfying, once you have decided on that, prepare it, order it or buy it and eat it mindfully that means once the meal or snack is no longer satisfying then pause, take a nice deep breath and make a decision, do I want anymore ? If yes eat more. If no, decide can I use it later and refrigerate it or ask for a takeaway container. You don’t have to overeat, and nor do you have to under-eat. Find the sweet spot for you as you eat each meal or snack. Mostly whenever eating take your time, slow down and enjoy the pleasure in your food choice.
